Service Description

The knee slice is one of the most effective and reliable guard passes in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, but the difference between forcing the movement and passing with control is understanding pressure, positioning and timing. Professor Rad's approach has been shaped by more than 20 years of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, training in Brazil, competing internationally, and spending two months training daily at Art of Jiu-Jitsu in California, the academy created by Rafa and Gui Mendes, two of the most influential figures in modern Jiu-Jitsu. Alongside Jiu-Jitsu, Professor Rad has trained Capoeira for 24 years. That experience has given him a different understanding of movement, balance, timing and body control. In this two-hour seminar, Professor Rad will break down the knee-slice passing system step by step. We will explore: * Correct grips, posture and positioning * Controlling the hips and upper body * Creating pressure without wasting energy * Beating frames and knee shields * Preventing guard recovery * Linking the knee slice with alternative passes * Securing side control after the pass The goal is not to learn only one technique, but to understand a connected passing system that allows you to recognise your opponent’s reactions and stay one step ahead. Suitable for beginners who want to build a strong passing foundation and experienced practitioners who want to sharpen the details of their knee-slice game. With Professor Rad 1st-degree Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt Capoeira Master 20+ years in Jiu-Jitsu 24 years in Capoeira 📍 Art of Movement, Bristol 🥋 Everyone welcome
